Cannonville / Bryce Valley KOA

Our Activities

We have hiked, driven and otherwise explored the many unforgettable areas within a few hours of our campground. We can help you find your personal adventure, whether it is an easy stroll in Bryce Canyon, a slot canyon scramble in Grand Staircase-Escalante or a 4-wheel-drive back road excursion.

Hiking

Bryce Valley KOA is surrounded by hundreds of miles of hiking trails. Spend a few days admiring Bryce Canyon's maze of hoodoos, then venture into Grand Staircase-Escalante's exciting canyons. Red Canyon's less-visited hoodoos and Kodachrome Basin's multi-colored hills offer even more possibilities.

Mountain Biking

Red Canyon offers many options, including the renowned Thunder Mountain Trail. If you want something less demanding, you can follow its paved bicycle path through beautiful, red-rock hoodoos. Kodachrome Basin is also popular with mountain bikers.

Bicycling

It would be hard to find a more beautiful ride than the paved road along Bryce Canyon's rim.

Horseback Riding

Take an unforgettable ride in Bryce Canyon, or explore our peaceful backcountry.

Scenic Drives

Our campground is located on Highway 12, designated an All American Road. Highway 12 leads through historic ranching towns and miles of breathtaking scenery. If you enjoy less-traveled, unpaved back roads, the Bryce Valley area has dozens of scenic backways for you to explore. Be sure to bring your camera!

Photography

Our colorful and varied landscape is a photographer's dream. Try sunrise at Bryce Canyon and sunset at Kodachrome Basin. Venture into Grand Staircase-Escalante and admire its unique geology. Drive historic Highway 12 and photograph its ranches and Anasazi ruins. It doesn't get better than this!

Fishing

Bring your gear and fly-fish for trout in the many lakes and mountain streams that surround Bryce Valley. Cast your bait from the shores of Pine Lake or Tropic Reservoir for an unforgettable family outing.

Air Tours of Bryce, Zion and Grand Canyon

Meet your pilot at the Bryce Airport for an exciting birds-eye view of our colorful and varied landscape.
